TRAVEL

Just the one major overseas trip has occured in our lives - the (the result of winning a competition) which turned into opportunities we had never dreamed of.  You can read more about that in the South Africa, Scotland, England and France links.

We have made a number of visits across "the ditch" to Australia as well and of course around our own country of NZ.   We have yet to travel north of the Bay of Islands and to the Coromandel. In late 2013 we made our first journey to Tauranga but as yet we haven't travelled north of Napier to Gisborne or south to Wairoa.  Not sure that we will ever get to Chatham or Auckland Islands.

There are of course walking tracks we have not walked and NZ has many wonderful opportunites to do this. We have been to Milford Sound but not walked the Milford Track.   We have been in the Nelson region but not walked the Heaphy Track.
As a teenager, Hugh did have the opportunity to do some of the tracks in the Lower Hollyford region but not Routeburn or Greenstone.
